Integrating Adobe Lightroom with WordPress Using Envira Gallery

Adobe Lightroom, a popular photo editing software extensively used by photographers for enhancing images, can be effortlessly integrated with your WordPress website using the Envira Gallery plugin.

Step 1: Installing Adobe Lightroom Classic

The first step is to have Adobe Lightroom Classic installed on your computer. You can download it from the Adobe Creative Cloud website. Make sure you have Lightroom 6 or a newer version.

Step 2: Installing and Activating the Envira Gallery Plugin

Once you have taken care of Lightroom, proceed to install and activate the Envira Gallery plugin on your WordPress site. Follow our simple step-by-step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Step 3: Activating the Lightroom Addon

After activating the plugin, go to the Envira Gallery » Settings page in your WordPress dashboard. Enter your license key, found on your Envira Gallery account page, and click the ‘Verify Key’ button.

Once your license key is verified, go to the Envira Gallery » Addons page. Scroll down and find the Lightroom Addon. Activate it by clicking on the ‘Install’ button.

Step 4: Configuring Lightroom Settings

Now, head to the Envira Gallery » Settings page and select the ‘Lightroom’ tab. First, choose the user account you want to use for publishing images from Lightroom. Then, generate a new access token by clicking the ‘Generate New Access Token’ button. Remember to save the token as it will be required in the next step. Don’t forget to click ‘Save’ to store your settings.

Step 5: Setting Up Adobe Lightroom Classic

Install and set up Adobe Lightroom Classic on your computer by visiting the Adobe Creative Cloud website. Sign in to your Adobe account and select the ‘Install Creative Cloud app’ option. Download and install Lightroom Classic.

After installation, open the Creative Cloud app and go to the ‘Apps’ section. Click on Lightroom Classic, select a subscription plan (you can start with the 7-day free trial), and complete the installation.

Step 6: Adding Envira Gallery as a Publishing Service

Download the Envira Gallery addon for Adobe Lightroom from your Envira account area. Save and extract the zip file. Open Adobe Lightroom, go to File » Plugin Manager, and click on the Add button. Choose the ‘envira.lrplugin’ file and click ‘Done’.

You will now see Envira Gallery in Adobe Lightroom Classic under the Publish Services section. Congratulations! You have successfully added Envira Gallery as a publishing service to Adobe Lightroom.

Step 7: Connecting Adobe Lightroom to Envira Gallery

Open Adobe Lightroom and click on the ‘Set Up’ link next to Envira Gallery in the Publish Services panel. Enter your WordPress website’s address and the access token you generated earlier. Click ‘Authenticate’ to establish a connection. Once connected, click ‘OK’ and ‘Save’.

Step 8: Transferring Photos to WordPress

Transferring photos from Adobe Lightroom Classic to WordPress using Envira Gallery is now a breeze. Right-click on Envira under the Publish Services panel in Lightroom, select ‘Create Published Collection’, and provide a name for your collection. Click ‘Create’ to proceed.

You can now easily drag and drop images from your library into the empty collection. Any changes you make to the collection will be reflected as a Publish button. Clicking on it will transfer your photos to WordPress, storing them in your Envira Gallery.
